Tandy TRS-80 and TEAC PS-80 in Japan

Searching for PS-80 TRS-80 restricted on the Japanese .jp site alone does bring up a few articles. One is a 1984 article about soil using the PS-80. See the English summary at the end of this .pdf for an example of where this machine was used. Remember this is some years before MSX.

This TEAC PS-80, TRS-80 clone or compatible machine was sold on yahoo.jp auctions some years ago which is where this photo was seen.

Mentions Tandy's partnership with Teac and the PS-80. I believe there is also a PS-85 model from 1981 or 1982 possibly. The version seen here has two cassette decks while the model seen from the yahoo.jp auction site had only one.

TEAC PS-85
Is this TEAC PS-85 a TRS-80 compatible machine and a successor to the PS-80 (which is known to be a TRS-80)? It is unclear. If it is some of the specs would be unique and odd. Some sites show it had a 640x400 graphics capability. Also, it ran a Z-80A but only 64x16 display.
